Clinical Integration Meetings

The Medical Group of Ohio (MGO) is currently undergoing one of the most significant changes in its history.

This change will affect all MGO practices and will ultimately become the new standard for integrated patient care, payer/employer partnerships and will allow for direct negotiation for reimbursement rates by MGO on behalf of all MGO physicians.

MGO’s future direction is a response to the increasingly challenging health care environment and a desire to serve both MGO physicians and their patients. As a result, MGO is becoming Clinically Integrated.

The clinically integrated approach will be defined by a coordinated care delivery model that provides a continuum of service and ensures that evidence and patient centeredness underlie medical decision making. It’s also part of a market-driven desire by payers/employers seeking measurable quality for health care expenditures.

MGO is uniquely positioned to make this change and all MGO physicians can become clinically integrated. This includes MGO physicians that remain in an independent practice within the current network of MGO practices; MGO physicians who join the new multi-specialty single tax ID within MGO’s network or MGO physicians who join a hospital foundation model. Whichever an MGO physician chooses, MGO will work with each individual practice to assure effective clinical integration and the accompanying benefits.
